Are you someone who has often said, "I can't sit still long enough to meditate!" Or maybe, you're someone who's curious and want to learn more.
Meditation isn't necessarily about sitting in an uncomfortable position, trying desperately to be absolutely still and stop thinking. In this talk, we'll review the different kinds of meditation and their various uses, and help you to gain an understanding of the value of meditation to your holistic well-being. You will learn how to use imagery and the senses to deepen the meditation experience, and walk away with some basic tools to begin exploring your meditation practice.

Relaxation Techniques for Managing
Stress & Pain This workshop covers a powerful, effective combination of research-based healing therapies to enhance your ability to cope with life changes, stresses and illness in a small group setting. By incorporating these mindbody skills into your daily life, you can reduce and relieve stress, increase resistance to disease and create optimal health. You will learn and practice a variety of scientifically-proven tools for life management, including guided imagery, meditation, autogenics (self-hypnosis), biofeedback, breathwork, movement, journaling and drawing.

MindBody Approach to a Healthy Back
Most of us understand that our physical core is our spine. When we have back problems, the rest of the body is impacted and our total wellness seems to deteriorate. While most people try to address back pain by working specific back and abdominal muscles, this workshop goes a step further and shows you how to use your entire body and mind for back strength. The class covers core strength, balance and flexibility exercises, along with breathing, relaxation and meditation techniques for pain management.

Understanding Your Chakras
Your chakras are the energy centers of your body, and your connection to earthly and heavenly energies. Join us to explore each of the chakras from a developmental, emotional and characteristic approach. Through various exercises associated with each of the chakras, you will gain an understanding of how energetic blocks can affect your physical, emotional and spiritual health. You will also begin to discover where your own blocks are, and learn what you can do to both resolve the blocks and keep your energy flowing more smoothly on a regular basis.
