Whole-Body Wellness

June Hyjek, President
President & Wellness Coach

As the founder of Meridian, my concept for fitness came through my own efforts to manage physical limitations, pain and food issues, while striving for optimum health.  It became clear to me that coping in the real world today required more than just physical strength.  It requires a mind/body approach that acknowledges the emotional issues and physical difficulties we all have in achieving our fitness goals.  We may want to lose that weight and get stronger, but we all face different barriers and challenges to getting what we want.  And sometimes, we just can't get there on our own.

Fitness Training.  Nutritional Coaching.  Mind/Body Practices.

My approach to wellness is an integrated philosophy that combines traditional fitness with mind/body and energy therapies, customizing each program with the specific needs of each client.  I believe in functional strength and being able to continue to enjoy our favorite activities.  I believe in discovering a new relationship with food and finding that optimum weight that allows us to be healthy and feel good about ourselves.  I believe that the condition of the mind impacts the body -- and that the condition of the body impacts the mind.

And I can help you to build all that within yourself!

People say that we’re all seeking a meaning for life. I think we’re really seeking an experience of being alive, so that our life experiences on the purely physical plane will have resonances within our innermost being and reality – so that we actually feel the rapture of being alive in our bodies.”
